Jasmund is apeninsula of the island ofRügen in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. It is connected to theWittow peninsula and to theMuttland main section of Rügen by the narrow land bridgesSchaabe andSchmale Heide, respectively.Sassnitz,Sagard and theMukran international ferry terminal are on Jasmund. Jasmund is also famous for theRügen Chalk cliffs within theJasmund National Park, a nature reserve in the northeast of Rügen island.[1]
