TheJamote orJamot people (Sindhi:ڄاموٽ) are aSindhiethnictribal people ofSindh andBalochistan.[1]Sarah Ansari, British historian, thinks thatKalhora is probably a Jamot tribe, long settled inLarkana andShikarpur districts of Sindh.[2] As of 2011[update], the chief of the Jamotes was Syed Mohammed Ali Shah Jamote.[3]
