Jamiat Ahle Hadith Pakistan[2] (Urdu:جمیعت اہلِ حدیث پاکستان,Arabic: جمعية اهل حديث الباكستان) is a religious organization and political party inPakistan. It was founded in 1947 by MaulanaDawood Ghaznavi andMuhammad Ibrahim Mir Sialkoti.
Jamiat Ahle Hadith was launched as a political party in 1986 by leaderEhsan Elahi Zaheer. A year later, In 1987,Ehsan Elahi Zaheer was martyred.[3]
In 1987, following Zaheer's death, JAH later splits up into 2 main factions, namelyMarkazi Jamiat Ahle Hadith (MJAH) led bySajid Mir and another faction led byEhsan Elahi Zaheer's son Ibtisam Elahi Zaheer namelyJamiat Ahle Hadith Pakistan (Elahi Zaheer) (JAHP).[4] But in 2018, Ibtisam Elahi Zaheer later announced to remerge his faction along with Sajid Mir's faction.[4][5][6] Now the original Jamiat Ahle Hadith Pakistan is led byEhsan Elahi Zaheer's son Dr. Allama Hisham Elahi Zaheer
On 20 September 2020, JAH's Ameer Sajid Mir attended the All Parties Conference (APC). At the APC, ten parties started thePakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) which was made to remove military establishment of Pakistan from politics. JAH also came for PDM's public gatherings and powershows.
