Albert James Edmondson, 1st Baron SandfordDL (29 June 1887 – 16 May 1959), was a BritishConservative Party politician.
He was the oldest son ofJames Edmondson, the north London property developer.[1]
At the1922 general election, he was elected to theHouse of Commons asMember of Parliament (MP) forBanbury. He wasknighted in the1934 Birthday Honours by KingGeorge V. From 1939 to 1942, he served as a governmentwhip, with the title ofVice-Chamberlain of the Household. He held his parliamentary seat until he stepped down at the1945 general election. He was elevated to the peerage asBaron Sandford, ofBanbury in theCounty of Oxford on 14 July 1945.[2]
Edmondson was a member of the pro-NaziRight Club.[3] He died inWestminster aged 71.
