TheJāmeh Mosque of Amol (Persian:مسجد جامع آمل,romanized: Masjid-e-Jāmeh Amol;Arabic:جامع أمل[1]) is aShi'iteFriday mosque (Jāmeh), located inAmol, in the province ofMazandaran,Iran,[2][3][4] adjacent to the Amol Sassanid Bazaar. Its primary structure dates to the first centuryAH and during the reign of theQajar dynasty andSafavid dynasty renovation.[5]
The mosque was added to theIran National Heritage List on 29 January 2008, administered by theCultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization of Iran.
