Jallab orjellab (Arabic:جلاب,romanizedjallāb) is a type offruit syrup popular in theMiddle East made fromcarob,dates,grape molasses, androse water.[1]

Sometimesgrenadine syrup is used in preparing it and might besmoked with Arabicincense.[citation needed] It is usually sold withcrushed ice and garnished withpine nuts andraisins.[2]

Jallab is especially popular in theLevant duringRamadan.[citation needed]
