Jakubany (Rusyn:Якубяны,romanized: Jakubjanŷ,Ukrainian:Якуб'яни,romanized: Yakubyany;Hungarian:Szepesjakabfalva) is avillage andmunicipality inStará Ľubovňa District in thePrešov Region of northernSlovakia.
Inhistorical records thevillage was first mentioned in 1322. Before the establishment of independentCzechoslovakia in 1918, Jakubany was part ofSzepes County within theKingdom of Hungary. From 1939 to 1945, it was part of theSlovak Republic. On 24 January 1945, theRed Army dislodged theWehrmacht from Jakubany and it was once again part of Czechoslovakia.
Themunicipality lies at analtitude of 610 metres and covers anarea of 16.748 km². It has apopulation of about 2488 people.
