Prior to signing toWWE, she appeared on the September 23, 2020 episode ofNXT, where she competed in abattle royal, which was won byCandice LeRae.[7] On February 24, 2021, it was announced that Grado signed adevelopmental contract withWWE.[3] She made her debut under the ring nameJacy Jayne on the July 20 episode ofNXT, losing toFranky Monet.[8]

On the debut episode ofNXT 2.0 on September 14, Jayne andGigi Dolin facedKacy Catanzaro andKayden Carter in atag team match, which ended in no contest afterMandy Rose interfered, and they subsequently wrestled Catanzaro, Carter, andSarray in asix-woman tag team match, in which Rose, Dolin, and Jayne emerged victorious.[9] Jayne quickly joined thestableToxic Attraction led by Rose, thus establishing herself as aheel. On the September 28 episode ofNXT 2.0, Dolin and Jayne wrestled their first in-ring match in aNXT Women's Tag Team Championship match won byIo Shirai andZoey Stark.[10] AtNXT: Halloween Havoc, Dolin and Jayne defeated Shirai and Stark andIndi Hartwell andPersia Pirotta in aScareway to Hell Laddertriple threat tag team match for the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship, marking the first championship wins for both Dolin and Jayne in the company.[11][12] On the November 16 episode ofNXT 2.0, Jayne joined Dolin, Rose, andDakota Kai in aWarGames match atNXT WarGames to faceRaquel González,Kay Lee Ray,Cora Jade, and Io Shirai.[13] At the event, Toxic Attraction and Kai lost the match.[14]

AtNXT: Vengeance Day, Dolin and Jayne retained their NXT Women's Tag Team Championship against Hartwell and Pirotta.[15] AtNXT Stand & Deliver, Dolin and Jayne lost the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship to Dakota Kai and Raquel González with the help ofWendy Choo, ending their reign at 158 days.[16] They regained the titles with the help of Rose's distraction three days later. AtNXT: The Great American Bash on July 5, 2022, Dolin and Jayne lost the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship to Cora Jade andRoxanne Perez. After the titles were vacated, Dolin and Jayne participated in a fatal four-way elimination match on the August 2 episode ofNXT 2.0, where Dolin and Jayne were part of the final two teams in the match but eventually lost toKatana Chance andKayden Carter. On the August 19 episode ofSmackDown, Jayne made her main roster debut alongside Dolin as participants in theWWE Women's Tag Team Championship tournament. They would win the first match but were forced out of the tournament due to an injury suffered by Dolin. Dolin and Jayne made their return toSmackDown in a losing effort against new WWE Women's Tag Team ChampionsAliyah and Raquel Rodriguez.

On December 14, Rose was released by WWE, thus turning Toxic Attraction into a tag team.[17] AtNXT: New Year's Evil on January 10, 2023, Dolin and Jayne were declared co-winners of a 20-womanbattle royal after eliminating each other simultaneously to earn anNXT Women's Championship match against Roxanne Perez in a triple threat match atNXT Vengeance Day,[18] where Perez successfully retained her title.[19] On the February 7, 2023, edition ofNXT, during aDing Dong, Hello! segment hosted byBayley, Jayne turned on Dolin, ending Toxic Attraction.[20] Jayne faced Dolin atNXT: Roadblock on March 7 with Dolin winning the match.[21] The former best friends went on to face each other again on May 2, where Jayne pinned Dolin. Chase University (2023–2024)

[edit]
Main article:Chase University

On the August 15 episode ofNXT, Jayne defeatedChase University'sThea Hail after Hail was distracted by her stablematesAndre Chase andDuke Hudson. Backstage after the match, Jayne gave praise to Hail and subsequently became a mentor to Hail, turningface for the first time since 2021, with Jayne eventually joining Chase University.[22][23] At Night 2 ofNXT: Halloween Havoc, Hail and Jayne failed to win WWE Women's Tag Team Championship fromChelsea Green andPiper Niven after Chase refused to allow Jayne to use the title belt against Green.[24] In December 2023, Chase University started a storyline where it was revealed that the University was in heavy debt after Chase gambled away all their funds. On the January 30, 2024 episode ofNXT, Jayne announced that she has created the "2024 Ladies of Chase U" calendar to be launched atNXT Vengeance Day and that the projected sales will save Chase University. Chase thanked Jayne and officially accepted her into the stable.[25] Around the same time, Jayne took on a new protégé,Jazmyn Nyx, who would help Jayne win matches by cheating which Hail refused to do. On the March 12 edition ofNXT, after Hail andFallon Henley lost a tag team match with Jayne refusing to be her partner the previous week, an emotional Hail disavowed her friendship with Jayne and declaring she was returning to the "old Thea Hail".

On the following week ofNXT, Jayne (with Nyx) turned on Chase University and costRiley Osborne theNXT Heritage Cup Championship match againstNo Quarter Catch Crew'sDrew Gulak, turning both women heel in the process.[26] On April 2, asix-woman tag team match was made official forNXT Stand & Deliver with Jayne,Kiana James andIzzi Dame facing Hail, Henley andKelani Jordan where Jayne's team lost the match.[27][28] Jayne then revealed the truth of Chase U's gambling debt. In Hail's NXT Women's Championship match against Tiffany Stratton in 2023, Andre Chase placed an illegal bet that Hail will win the title. However, he chose Hail's wellbeing and threw in the towel, resulting in him losing the bet.[29] On the April 16 episode ofNXT, Jayne and Nyx assistedTatum Paxley in defeating Hail.[30] A match between Jayne and Hail was then made official for Week 2 ofSpring Breakin' on April 30 where Jayne lost, ending their feud. Jayne suffered a legitimatebroken nose during the match and had to undergo surgery.[31][32] She made her return on the June 4 episode ofNXT sporting a face mask for her broken nose.[33]

Fatal Influence in 2025

On the July 9 episode ofNXT, Jayne and Nyx formed an alliance withFallon Henley, who took issue with wrestlers with no independent backgrounds getting more opportunities in NXT[34] (Nyx was given an exception by Jayne and Henley despite having never competed in the independent circuit herself)[35] and eventually calling themselvesFatal Influence.[36] The trio teamed up for the first time at Week 1 ofNXT: The Great American Bash on July 30, where they defeatedKarmen Petrovic,Lola Vice, andSol Ruca in a 6-woman tag team match.[37] Beginning in September, Fatal Influence set their sights on theNXT Women's North American Championship held byKelani Jordan. AtNXT Halloween Havoc on October 27, Jordan faced Fatal Influence in agauntlet match for the NXT Women's North American Championship. Nyx and Jayne were the first and second person in the gauntlet respectively and assisted Henley to defeat Jordan to win the title.[38] Fatal Influence would soon after begin feuding withTatum Paxley,Shotzi, and Jayne's former tag team partner and friend Gigi Dolin, with the two teams facing each other atNXT: New Year's Evil in asix-woman tag team match with Fatal Influence coming out on the losing end.

Over the next few months, there were signs of dissension within Fatal Influence, particularly between Jayne and Henley. On the May 27 episode ofNXT, Jayne defeatedStephanie Vaquer to win theNXT Women's Championship.[39] Jayne made her first successful title defense on the June 10 episode ofNXT against Lainey Reid.[40] AtHalloween Havoc on October 25, Jayne lost the title toTatum Paxley, ending her reign at 151 days.[41] AtGold Rush on November 18, Jayne defeated Paxley to regain the title afterIzzi Dame turned on Paxley.
