Izel-lès-Hameau (French pronunciation:[izɛllɛamo]; before June 2009:Izel-les-Hameaux)[3] is acommune in thePas-de-Calaisdepartment in the Hauts-de-France region of France[4] 11 miles (18 km) west ofArras.
During theFirst World War a farm about 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) east, known as Filescamp Farm, was converted for use by theRoyal Flying Corps. The location was known as Le Hameau.[5][6] It was commemorated with a ceremony and plaque in 2015.[7]
