Ivica Ivušić (born 1 February 1995) is a Croatian professionalfootballer who plays as agoalkeeper for Croatian clubHajduk Split and theCroatia national team.[3]

Club career

Born inRijeka, Ivušić started his youth career with local clubRijeka. He spent eight years with the academy before signing forInternazionale academy in 2009.[4] In July 2014, he was loaned off toLega Pro clubPrato.[5] On 30 August 2014, he made his debut againstSan Marino Calcio.[6] He later joinedPrva HNL sideIstra 1961 on 17 August 2015.On 18 January 2018, Greek clubOlympiacos announced the signing of Ivušić for an undisclosed fee.[7]

On 12 June 2018, Ivušić returned to Croatia and joinedNK Osijek on a four-year contract.[8]

He now plays forPafos.

International career

On 17 May 2021, Ivušić was named in the preliminary 34-man squad for theUEFA Euro 2020,[9] but did not make thefinal 26.[10] He made his debut for theCroatia national team on 4 September 2021 in aWorld Cup qualifier againstSlovakia, keeping a clean sheet in a 1–0 away victory.[11]

On 9 November 2022, Ivušić was named inZlatko Dalić's26-man squad for the2022 FIFA World Cup,[12] where he remained an unused substitute as Croatia finished third.[13]
