Ivan Smolčić (born 17 August 2000) is a Croatian professionalfootballer who plays as acentre back for ItalianSerie A clubComo.[2]
After playing for the youth teams of Croatian clubRijeka, Smolčić made his professional debut for the club's first team on 13 April 2019, when he entered as a substitute in a 7–0 victory againstInter Zaprešić.[2] The following three seasons he was loaned toOrijent andHrvatski Dragovoljac. In the summer of 2022, he returned to Rijeka, where he soon established himself as a starter.[3]
On 3 February 2025, Smolčić signed a four-season contract withComo in Italy.[4]
In November 2022, Smolčić was capped twice for theCroatian under-21 team.[5]
Ivan's twin brotherHrvoje is also a professional footballer. The twins moved toHNK Rijeka Academy together in 2014.[6][7]
