Israel Enoc Escalante (born 9 January 1999) is an Argentine professionalfootballer who plays as awinger forLiga Deportiva Alajuelense, on loan fromBoca Juniors.
Escalante joinedBoca Juniors in 2014.[1][4] He spent six years progressing through their ranks, before departing on loan in July 2020 toCategoría Primera A sideIndependiente Medellín.[5][6][7][8] He made his senior debut under managerAldo Bobadilla on 16 September, featuring for fifty-five minutes of aCopa Libertadores group stage defeat toCaracas; he came off the bench to replaceAndrés Rodríguez in the first half.[9] His first league match arrived days later versusAlianza Petrolera, which was followed by an appearance against parent club Boca in the Libertadores; he left at half time of a narrow loss.[9]
Escalante scored his first senior goal on 8 October 2020 in a league win for Independiente Medellín overCúcuta Deportivo, which was followed by another on 25 October at home toDeportivo Cali.[9][10]
