Isobuscaline (IB), also known as4-isobutoxy-3,5-dimethoxyphenethylamine, is apsychedelic drug of thephenethylamine andscaline families related tomescaline.[1][2] It is theanalogue andskeletal isomer ofbuscaline in which there is anisobutoxy group instead of abutoxy group at the 4 position.[1][2] The drug's dose range is 60 to 100 mgorally and itsduration is 8 to 14 hours.[1] Its effects included little in the way ofpsychedelic visuals, no enhancedfantasy, andbody load.[1] Thechemical synthesis of isobuscaline has been described.[2] The drug was described in thescientific literature byDaniel Trachsel in 2002.[2]
