Iryna Volodymyrivna Koliadenko (Ukrainian:Ірина Володимирівна Коляденко, born 28 August 1998) is aUkrainianfreestyle wrestler. She is a two-time Olympic medallist and won the silver medal in thewomen's freestyle 62 kg event at the2024 Summer Olympics and one of the bronze medals in thewomen's freestyle 62 kg event at the2020 Summer Olympics.[2][3] Koliadenko is also aWorld Championships silver and bronze medallist, and a three-timeEuropean champion.[4][5][6][7]

Career

In 2018 and 2019, Koliadenko won the bronze medal in the women's freestyle 65 kg event both at the2018 World U23 Wrestling Championship and2019 World U23 Wrestling Championship, held in Bucharest, Romania and Budapest, Hungary, respectively.[8][9] She won the silver medal in thewomen's freestyle 65 kg event at the2019 World Championships.

In 2020, Koliadenko won one of the bronze medals in the65 kg event at theEuropean Wrestling Championships held in Rome, Italy.[10][11] In her bronze medal match she defeatedKriszta Incze of Romania. In March 2021, she qualified at theEuropean Qualification Tournament to compete at the2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.[12][13] A month later, Koliadenko won the gold medal in the62 kg event at the2021 European Wrestling Championships held in Warsaw, Poland.[6][14] She defeatedMarianna Sastin of Hungary in the final.[6]

Koliadenko won one of the bronze medals in thewomen's freestyle 62 kg event at the2020 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo, Japan.[2] She defeatedAnastasija Grigorjeva of Latvia in her bronze medal match.[2]

In 2022, Koliadenko won the gold medal in her event at theMatteo Pellicone Ranking Series 2022 held in Rome, Italy.[15] She won one of the bronze medals in her event at the2023 Ibrahim Moustafa Tournament held in Alexandria, Egypt.[16]

Koliadenko won the gold medal in the62 kg event at the2023 European Wrestling Championships held in Zagreb, Croatia.[17][18] She defeatedGrace Bullen of Norway in her gold medal match.[17][18] Koliadenko won one of the bronze medals in the62 kg event at the2023 World Wrestling Championships held in Belgrade, Serbia.[19] As a result, she earned a quota place for Ukraine for the2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France.[20]

Koliadenko won the gold medal in the65 kg event at the2024 European Wrestling Championships held in Bucharest, Romania.[21][22] She defeatedKateryna Zelenykh of Romania in her gold medal match.[21][22]

Koliadenko won the silver medal in thewomen's 62 kg event at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France.[23][24] She lost againstSakura Motoki of Japan in the final.[23][24]
