Ioan Cunningham (born 1 January 1983) is aWelsh rugby union coach. He was head coach of theWales women's national rugby union team from 2021 to 2024[1][2] and now coachesFiji women's national rugby union team.
Cunningham played for Wales under-16, captained the under-18's and under-19's, and also featured for the under-21's teams.[1]
Cunningham played at number 8 and was captain of theBridgend Ravens. He has also played forLlanelli RFC,Bridgend RFC,Llandovery RFC, andCarmarthen Quins RFC.
Cunningham was previously the Head Coach ofWales national under-20 team.[3][4] He was theScarlets forwards coach from 2015 to 2020.[1][5] November 2024 saw the end of his position as head coach of the welsh National side.[6] In February 2025, he became head coach ofFiji women's national rugby union team.[7]
