IntraLase was a company based inIrvine, California, producinglasers for themedical industry and foreye surgery.
The femtosecond laser, developed by IntraLase corporation and now owned by AMO, istrademarked under the name IntraLase.[1] It is used to performIntraLASIK eye surgery.[2]
In March 2007, it was acquired byAdvanced Medical Optics for $808 million in cash.[3]
Advanced Medical Optics was acquired byAbbott Laboratories in February 2009.
