Intikancha (Quechuainti sun,kancha enclosure, enclosed place, yard, a frame, or wall that encloses,[2] "sun yard", Hispanicized spellingInticancha) is amountain with anarchaeological site of the same name in theAndes ofPeru, about 4,400 metres (14,436 ft) high. It is located in thePuno Region,Lampa Province,Nicasio District, and in theSan Román Province,Juliaca District.[1]
The archaeological site of Intikancha was declared a National Cultural Heritage byResolución Directoral Nacional No. 79.[3] It lies south of the mountain and archaeological site ofPukarani.
