TheInternational Cinephile Society is an online organization of professionalfilm critics and journalists worldwide.[1] It was founded in 2003[1] and, as of February 2024,[update] has approximately 170 members—among them areMike D'Angelo,Justin Chang (Los Angeles Times), andStephanie Zacharek (Time).[2]

Led by Cédric Succivalli, each year the organization honors the finest in international cinema.[1] Its nominations have been noted for being different from other awards' submissions, such as theAcademy Awards.[3][4][5][6] Their annual announcements have received coverage fromVariety,[7]IndieWire,[8] andScreendaily.[9]
