TheInstitut SupBiotech de Paris (SupBiotech orISBP; English:Paris Higher Biotechnology Institute[5]) is a French private engineering school created in 2003,[6] located inVillejuif, near Paris, and inLyon.
SupBiotech is specialized in the field ofbiotechnology.[7] The school delivers a 5-year program split in two parts: the first three years correspond to abachelor's degree in biotechnology[8] and the last three years to a French engineering degree (academically equivalent to amaster's degree) in biotechnology.[9]

SupBiotech was created in 2003 byIONIS Education Group. It providesmiddle management forbiotechnology industries. Biotechnology industries belong mainly to health, innovation food or environment. On 11 January 2012, the degree delivered by the university was recognizedlevel 1 byCNCP.[9] The same year, on 21 February, the university was labeled by theIndustries et Agro-Ressources (IAR)cluster.[10] Since 8 January 2015, the university is recognized by the FrenchMinistry of National Education.[11] The 6 December 2016, SupBiotech is recognized by theCommission des Titres d'Ingénieur.[12]
SupBiotech is owned byIONIS Education Group.[13]

Students begin with the first cycle of three years including aclasse préparatoire aux grandes écoles of two years and one year of professionalization with a 3-monthinternship. During the third year, a trip abroad in a partner university education is compulsory.[15]
After the first cycle, students begin the second two-year cycle which includes the fourth and fifth year with the choice of a specialization: research / development / production processes or marketing / sales engineer. Students also make the choice of an option:health /medicine,environment,cosmetics,food industry orbioinformatics. During this cycle, two internships (4 and 6 months) are compulsory. SupBiotech signed in January 2011 a partnership with the CancerInstitut Gustave Roussy.[16] The majority[17] of the courses in this cycle are given in English.
In the final year, students who wish can prepare in parallel anMBA at theInstitut supérieur de gestion, a Master atIONIS STM,[18] a Master inbasic research at several Universities, including theUniversity of Évry Val d'Essonne or at theÉcole pratique des hautes études,[19] or also a double degree with a partnership university abroad. In addition, the school has a partnership with theEcole Centrale Paris allowing two fifth-year students to follow in parallel aMastère Spécialisé in biomedical engineering data.[18]
SupBiotech has partnerships with universities abroad,[20] including :Tunisia Private University,University of California atSan Diego,Université de Montréal,Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education,[21]University of Essex,University of Sussex,Heriot-Watt University inUnited Kingdom.[21]
SupBiotech has four active research teams, inBioinformatics (Bio Information Research Laboratory), Cellular Engineering (CellTechs), Agro-environmental Engineering and Sociology.[22]
In May 2012, the university has inaugurated a new bio-production laboratory.[23][24] It has also a partnership withPasteur Institute.[25][26][27]
