Inorganic Crystal Structure Database (ICSD) is a chemical database founded in 1978 byGünter Bergerhoff at theUniversity of Bonn in Germany andI. D. Brown atMcMaster University in Canada.[1][2] It is now produced byFIZ Karlsruhe in Europe and the U.S.National Institute of Standards and Technology. It seeks to contain information on all inorganiccrystal structures published since 1913, including pureelements, minerals, metals, andintermetallic compounds (with atomic coordinates).[3] ICSD contains over 210,000 entries as of December 2020[update] and is updated twice a year.
AWindows-basedPC version has been developed in co-operation with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and a PHP-MySQL web based version in co-operation with theInstitut Laue–Langevin (ILL) Grenoble.
