Inkerman is located at41°17′56″N75°48′45″W / 41.29889°N 75.81250°W /41.29889; -75.81250.[4] The elevation is 791 feet (241 m) above sea level.

According to theUnited States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 0.73 square miles (1.9 km2), all land.[5] It is located in the western portion of Jenkins Township. The CDP is situated northeast ofPlains Township, northwest ofLaflin, south ofPittston, and southeast of theSusquehanna River.
