Indonesia was represented at the1984 Summer Olympics inLos Angeles,California, United States by theIndonesian Olympic Committee.
In total, 16 athletes including 13 men and three women represented Indonesia in six different sports including archery, athletics, boxing, shooting, swimming and weightlifting.
TheIndonesian Olympic Committee was founded in 1947 but it wasn't recognised by theInternational Olympic Committee until 1952. Indonesia made their Olympic debut at the1952 Summer Olympics inHelsinki, Finland. They had missed the1964 Summer Olympics inTokyo,Japan and they also took part in theUnited States-led boycott of the1980 Summer Olympics inMoscow,Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic, Soviet Union. The1984 Summer Olympics inLos Angeles,California, United States marked their seventh appearance at the Olympics.[1]
