TheYinhawangka are anAboriginal Australian people of thePilbara region ofWestern Australia.
The Inawongga, inNorman Tindale's estimation, has about 3,600 square miles (9,300 km2) of tribal territory, living in the area around theHardey River and as far south asRocklea. Their southeastern extension runs along theupper Ashburton River from Turee Creek to theAngelo River, and north ofMount Vernon Station.[1]
Running clockwise from due north, their neighbours are theKurrama to their northwest, thePanyjima north-northeast, theMandara due east, theNgarlawongga to their southeast, theNinanu directly south and theTjururo on their western flank.[2]
