TheImmortal Weapons are fictional characters appearing inAmerican comic books published byMarvel Comics. They are each a champion of one of the Seven Capital Cities of Heaven in theMarvel Universe. The Immortal Weapons first appear inThe Immortal Iron Fist #8 (September 2007) and as a group, were created byEd Brubaker,Matt Fraction andDavid Aja.

Publication history

The characters were first introduced inThe Immortal Iron Fist #8—and remainedsupporting characters in the series until its cancellation (#27). The group then starred in their own series, which began in July 2009—with the first issue focusing on Fat Cobra; written byJason Aaron andDuane Swierczynski with art by Mico Suayan andTravel Foreman.[1]

An alternate universe iteration of the Immortal Weapons appears in theUltimate Universe imprint. This version of the group are servants of theHulk and the Children of the Eternal Light. The group consists of Bride of Nine World-Breakers, Crane Mother of the Bomb, Decay's Beautiful Daughter, Fat Cobra, Prince of Meltdowns, and Uranium Brother #235, who all derive their power from gamma radiation injections.[3]
