Immoidea is a superfamily ofpantropical moths containing only the familyImmidae comprising ten genera with around 250 species, over half of them in the genusImma. Many are brightly coloured anddiurnal. The position of this group is currently uncertain within the group Obtectomera[1]. The larvae feed on the leaves ofdicotyledons and conifers includingPodocarpus (Dugdale et al. 1999).
