TheIllinois School for the Deaf (ISD), located inJacksonville, Illinois, is a state-operated pre-kindergarten, elementary and high school for the deaf and hard-of-hearing.[4][5] ISD uses bothEnglish andAmerican Sign Language, with a policy modeled after theWisconsin School for the Deaf.[6]
