Ikram Alikhil (Pashto:اکرام فيضي عليخېل; born 29 September 2000) is an Afghancricketer.[1] He made his international debut forAfghanistan in March 2019.[2]
He made hisTwenty20 debut forBand-e-Amir Dragons in the2017 Shpageeza Cricket League on 14 September 2017.[3] Prior to his T20 debut, he was part of Afghanistan's squad for the2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.[4] He also scored an unbeaten century in the final of the2017 ACC Under-19 Asia Cup and helpedAfghanistan to win their maidenACC Under-19 Cup title.[5]
In December 2017, he was named in Afghanistan's squad for the2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.[6]
He made hisfirst-class debut forSpeen Ghar Region in the2018 Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament on 1 March 2018.[7] He made hisList A debut for Speen Ghar Region in the2018 Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional One Day Tournament on 10 July 2018.[8]
In September 2018, he was named in Balkh's squad in thefirst edition of theAfghanistan Premier League tournament.[9]
In December 2018, he was named in Afghanistan's under-23 team for the2018 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup.[10]
In February 2019, he was named in Afghanistan'sTest andOne Day International (ODI) squads for their seriesagainst Ireland in India.[11][12] He made his ODI debut againstIreland on 2 March 2019.[13] He made his Test debut for Afghanistan against Ireland on 15 March 2019.[14]
On 6 June 2019, he was added toAfghanistan's squad for the2019 Cricket World Cup. He replacedMohammad Shahzad, who was ruled out of the tournament due to a knee injury.[15] He scored a fifty against England in his first match of the 2023 Cricket World Cup which Afghanistan won by 69 runs.[16]
