Igor Benedejčič (born 28 July 1969) is a Slovenian retiredfootball manager andplayer who played as amidfielder.
Benedejčič was capped for theSlovenia national team. In 1992, he scored Slovenia's first ever international goal in the nation's debut match againstEstonia.
In 1992, Benedejčič became the first player to score forSlovenia in an official international match when he scored the equaliser in afriendly match againstEstonia inTallinn, a game which finished 1–1.[1] He played a total of 8 matches for the national team, scoring 1 goal.[2]
