He is currently employed with the film magazineEmpire and is one of their senior reviewers as well as the assistanteditor of the magazine.[1]
He is also a writer for several newspapers, including theDaily Telegraph and theGuardian covering film subjects and film history.[2][3]
In 2010, he appeared in the documentary comedy filmThe People vs. George Lucas.
In 2007, he authoredThe Complete Spielberg, a guide to the films ofSteven Spielberg.[4]
In 2009, he authored a titleMovie Makers: 50 Iconic Directors from Chaplin to the Coen Brothers, published by Quercus that covers film directors includingCharlie Chaplin,Quentin Tarantino, andDavid Lean among others.[5]
