"I Got It Bad (and That Ain't Good)" is apop andjazz standard with music byDuke Ellington and lyrics byPaul Francis Webster published in 1941. It was introduced in the musicalrevueJump for Joy byIvie Anderson,[1] who also provided the vocals for Duke Ellington and His Orchestra on the singleVictor 27531.[2] Recordings to reach theBillboard charts in 1941 and 1942 were by Duke Ellington (#13) and byBenny Goodman (vocal byPeggy Lee) (#25).[3]
