ISO 3166-2:CZ is the entry forCzechia inISO 3166-2, part of theISO 3166standard published by theInternational Organization for Standardization (ISO), which definescodes for the names of the principalsubdivisions (e.g.,provinces orstates) of allcountries coded inISO 3166-1.
Currently, ISO 3166-2 codes are defined for two levels of subdivisions within the country:
Each code consists of two parts, separated by a hyphen. The first part isCZ, theISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code for the country. The second part is either of the following:
For the districts, the first two digits indicate the region that the district is in (based on the originalNUTS code of the region):
Subdivision names are listed as in the ISO 3166-2 standard published by the ISO 3166 Maintenance Agency (ISO 3166/MA).
Subdivision names are sorted inCzech alphabetical order: a (á), b, c, č, d (ď), e (é) (ě), f, g, h, ch, i (í), j, k, l, m, n (ň), o (ó), p, q, r, ř, s, š, t (ť), u (ú) (ů), v, w, x, y (ý), z, ž.
