Idrottsföreningen Saab was a Swedish sports club fromLinköping,Östergötland County founded in 1941 by people working atSaab and most known for itsassociation football andhandball teams.[1] They took part in the1973 Allsvenskan. In 1981, IF Saab merged withBK Derby to formLinköpings FF.
Besides football, the club also had active sections for the sportsbadminton,bandy,table tennis,bowling,boxing,archery,bicycle racing,athletics,gymnastics, handball,company sports,skiing,orienteering,tennis, andvarpa.
