Town of ancient Caria

Hydai orKydai was a town ofancient Caria. Its name does not appear in ancient authors, but is inferred from epigraphic evidence; itsdemonym wasHydaieis (Ancient Greek:Ὑδαιεῖς) orKydaieis (Κυδαιεῖς).[1] It was apolis (city-state) and a member of theDelian League.[1]

Its site is located nearDamlarboğaz,Asiatic Turkey.[2][3] It has been partially excavated and some of the artifacts are displayed at theMilas Museum.
