Hunting Grounds[1] (formerly known as "Howl" after theAllen Ginsberg poem of the same name[2]) are a six piece Australian punk band. They formed atBallarat High School[3] and wonTriple J's Unearthed High competition[4] with their song "Blackout"[5] which was placed on high rotation by the station.[6]
In 2010 Hunting Grounds supported fellow Ballarat actYacht Club DJs on their Batten Down the Hatches Australian Tour. The tour was sold out and the two bands fronted two encore shows atSt Kilda's Prince of Wales Bandroom.
