Hugo Romeo Guerra Cabrera (25 February 1966 – 11 May 2018) was a Uruguayanfootballer.[1]
Guerra played forGimnasia y Esgrima La Plata,Huracán,Boca Juniors andFerro Carril Oeste in thePrimera División de Argentina.[2] He also had a spell withToluca in thePrimera División de Mexico.[3]
Guerra made eight appearances for the seniorUruguay national football team from 1992 to 1993.[1] He played for Uruguay at theCopa América 1993. Guerra made his debut in afriendly match againstBrazil (1-0 win) on April 30, 1992 in theEstadio Centenario inMontevideo under coachLuis Alberto Cubilla.[4]
He died on 11 May 2018 at the age of 52 fromcardiac arrest.[5]
