Hugo Oscar Coscia (born 12 October 1952) is a retiredfootballstriker who played for several clubs in theArgentine Primera División and theArgentina national football team.
Born inChacabuco, Buenos Aires, Coscia began playing professional football withEstudiantes de La Plata in the Primera División. Next, he passed throughColón de Santa Fe.[1]
In 1975, Coscia moved abroad to play forMexican Primera División sideAtlético Potosino for two seasons.[2] When his contract expired, Coscia returned to Argentina to play forClub Atlético River Plate. In 1979, Coscia joinedSan Lorenzo de Almagro and would play in the club's final match atEstadio Gasómetro, a 0–0 draw withClub Atlético Boca Juniors where Coscia had a penalty kick saved byHugo Gatti.[3] The following season, he joined Boca Juniors, making Coscia one of a select few players to appear for rivals River Plate and Boca Juniors.[4]
Coscia made several appearances for theArgentina national football team and participated in the1979 Copa América.[5]
