Houmont Park is anunincorporated area in east centralHarris County,Texas, United States. It is located along Beaumont Highway (U.S. Highway 90) and theSouthern Pacific Railroad, 2 miles (3.2 km) southwest of theSheldon Reservoir.[1]
The subdivision developed during the 1950s and the 1960s, asGreater Houston expanded in size.[1]
Sheldon Independent School District operates schools serving the community.
An elementary school, C.E. King Middle School,C.E. King High School, and the district'sCrenshaw Memorial Stadium are within 1 mile (1.6 km) of the Houmont Park townsite.[1]
