John Francis "Honey" Barnes (January 31, 1900 – June 18, 1981) was an AmericanMajor League Baseballcatcher. Barnes played for theNew York Yankees in the1926 season. In one game, he did not get an at-bat, by playing catcher. He batted left and threw right-handed. He was born inFulton, New York and died inLockport, New York.
Barnes playedcollege baseball forColgate University. In 1922, he was the only freshman to make the team.[1]
