Hollywood Arts is an upcoming Americansitcom created byJake Farrow and Samantha Martin, which serves as asequel andspin-off toVictorious, withDaniella Monet reprising her role asTrina Vega. It is set to premiere onNetflix in 2026.
When struggling actress Trina Vega returns to her old high school Hollywood Arts as an unqualified substitute teacher, she both clashes with and inspires a new generation of ambitious and eccentric students.[1]
On February 6, 2025, it was announced that a sequel and spinoff toVictorious was in development with aworking title ofHollywood Arts.Daniella Monet would be reprising her role asTrina Vega, and also serves as an executive producer, alongsideJake Farrow, who worked on the original series, and Samantha Martin.Dan Schneider, who was the creator ofVictorious and its spin-off seriesSam & Cat, would not be involved in the series.[2]
Casting is underway, with former Victorious cast members possibly reprising their roles.[2] In March 2025,Victoria Justice, who starred asTori Vega, mentioned the possibility of her making acameo appearance.[3] In the same month,Avan Jogia, who starred asBeck Oliver, expressed openness to reprising his role.[4] In April 2025,Elizabeth Gillies, who starred asJade West, also expressed openness to reprising her role.[5] In the same month,Matt Bennett, who starred asRobbie Shapiro, teased a possible return.[6] In July 2025,Leon Thomas III, who starred asAndré Harris, expressed interest in reprising his role in aguest appearance.[7]
On October 24, 2025,Hollywood Arts had been moved toNetflix, which had also ordered 26 episodes. The series will premiere on the global streamer in 2026 before a second-window release onNickelodeon and siblingParamount+ (likely day and date). The sale to Netflix is believed to be a recent development after the August completion ofthe Skydance-Paramount merger, which resulted in the departure of longtime Nickelodeon chiefBrian Robbins among other top executive exits,[8] alongside a change of producer of the upcoming television spin-off series asParamount Skydance's revived television divisionParamount Television Studios (which encompasses the slates of Skydance Television and Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios) would now be producing the spin-off seriesHollywood Arts alongside Nickelodeon which originally developed the spin-off series.[9]
In February 2025,Daniella Monet was cast in the series.[2] In October 2025, Alyssa Miles, Emmy Liu-Wang, Peyton Jackson, Erika Swayze and Martin Kamm joined the main cast, with Yvette Nicole Brown set to guest star.[10]
Hollywood Arts held its first table read on October 14, 2025.[10]Principal photography began filming on October 22, 2025, in Burnaby, British Columbia;[11] it was originally set to begin two days earlier in Los Angeles, California.[1][12] Production is scheduled to wrap on March 13, 2026.[11]
