Horace Kent "Hod" Kibbie (July 18, 1903 – October 19, 1975) was an American professionalbaseball player and physician in Fort Worth.[1] He played eleven games inMajor League Baseball in 1925 for theBoston Braves, eight as asecond baseman and three as ashortstop.[citation needed] He went on to play shortstop for theFort Worth Cats in 1927 and 1928.[1]
Kibbie was captain of the baseball team atUniversity of Texas, where he played from 1921 to 1925.[2] He was a medical student while playing for the Cats,[3] graduating from theUniversity of Louisville School of Medicine.[1] In 1933, he returned to Fort Worth to practice medicine.[1] He was the physician for employees of theSanta Fe Railroad, as well as the city of Fort Worth.[1]
