Hoằng Hóa is adistrict (huyện) ofThanh Hóa province in theNorth Central Coast region ofVietnam.[1] As of 2003 the district had a population of 250,864.[2] The district covers an area of 225 km2. The district capital is inBút Sơn.[2]
