Highland Konjo is anAustronesian language ofSulawesi,Indonesia, which belongs to theMakassaric branch of theSouth Sulawesi subgroup. It is spoken in the interior parts of Bone, Bulukumba, Gowa, and Sinjai regencies ofSouth Sulawesi province, in the area to the northwest ofMount Lompobatang. It is closely related to, but distinct fromCoastal Konjo, which also belongs to theMakassaric languages.[2][3]
