Higger Tor orHiggar Tor is agritstonetor in theDark Peak, in the north of thePeak District National Park in England. It overlooks theBurbage Valley and theIron Agehill fort ofCarl Wark[1] to the southeast.
The tor stands to the south west ofSheffield, just within the city boundary, about 200 metres (220 yd) east of the border withDerbyshire, which runs along the nearby road toRinginglow. The village ofHathersage is approximately 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) to the west.

It isone of 95Ethels in the Peak District named after English environmental campaigner and a pioneer of the countryside movementEthel Haythornthwaite.[3]
