Hexethal (Ortal) is abarbiturate derivative invented in the 1940s. It hassedative,anxiolytic,muscle relaxant, andanticonvulsant properties, and was used primarily as an anaesthetic inveterinary medicine.[1]
Hexethal is considered similar in effects topentobarbital, with a very fast onset of action but short duration of effects.
