His Majesty's Loyal Opposition,[1] or theOfficial Opposition inGibraltar, is led by theLeader of the Opposition. This is usually the political party with the second largest number of seats in theGibraltar Parliament, as the largest party will usually form thegovernment. Since the2011 General Election, the Official Opposition has been theGibraltar Social Democrats (GSD) led byPeter Caruana (2011–2013),Daniel Feetham (2013––2017), Roy Clinton as Interim Opposition Leader and nowKeith Azopardi.[2]
The Leader of Opposition earns (per annum) £58,230 while other Opposition MPs and Shadow Ministers earn £34,594.
