Henry Sutherland Edwards (1828–1906) was a British journalist.
He was born inHendon on 5 September 1827[1], and educated in London and France.[2] He was correspondent ofThe Times at the coronation ofAlexander II of Russia, in the camp of theinsurgents at Warsaw (1862–63), and at German army headquarters during theFranco-Prussian War.
In 1865 he took over the role ofchief music critic onThe Morning Post fromHoward Glover and he was a regular contributor toThe Pall Mall Gazette.[3] He was the first editor of the weekly illustrated newspaperThe Graphic.
He died at his home in London on 21 January 1906, and was buried at St. John's Cemetery inWoking.[2]
