Helly Shah (born 7 January 1996) is an Indian actress and model who primarily works inHindi television. She made her acting debut in 2010 withZindagi Ka Har Rang...Gulaal portraying Talli. She is best known for her portrayal of Swara Bose Maheshwari inSwaragini and Devanshi Bakshi inDevanshi.[1]
Shah earned wider recognition with her dual portrayal of Saltanat and Kaynaat Shah inSufiyana Pyaar Mera and her portrayal of Riddhima Raisinghania inIshq Mein Marjawan 2 and the web seriesIshq Mein Marjawan 2: Naya Safar.[2]
Shah was born on 7 January 1996.[3] She is aGujarati[4] fromAhmedabad and avegetarian.[5]
Shah began her acting career when she was in 8th grade.[6] Her career began withStar Plus's showGulaal.[4] In 2011 she appeared inDiya Aur Baati Hum playing Shruti. She then played Alaxmi inLife OK'sAlaxmi - Hamari Super Bahu.[4] Later, she played Ami inKhelti Hai Zindagi Aankh Micholi.[7] She then appeared inSony Pal'sKhushiyon Kii Gullak Aashi.[8]
From March 2015 to December 2016, Shah portrayed Swara Maheshwari inSwaragini.
In 2016, Shah participated inColors TV'sJhalak Dikhhla Jaa (season 9). In 2017, she portrayed Devanshi Upadhyay/Bakshi inDevanshi.
In 2019, she portrayed the double role of Saltanat Shah and Kaynaat Shah inStar Bharat'sSufiyana Pyaar Mera.[9] Next, she appeared as Neha inStar Plus'sYeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke.[10]
Shah portrayed Riddhima Raisinghania inIshq Mein Marjawan 2 oppositeRrahul Sudhir andVishal Vashishtha,[2][11] that aired from 13 July 2020 to 13 March 2021 onColors TV.[12] After the show went off air, the new season titledIshq Mein Marjawan 2: Naya Safar started to stream inVoot Select since 15 March, with Shah reprising the character of Riddhima.[12]
She made herCannes red carpet debut on 18 May 2022.[13][14] She unveiled the poster of her debut filmKaya Palat, at the Cannes Film Festival on 21 May.[15][16] The actress also walked the red carpet for L’Oréal Paris atCannes Film Festival, the first Indian television actress to walk for the event sponsorsL'Orèal Paris.[17] As of March 2023, Shah is shooting for an upcoming Gujarati film alongsideVatsal Seth.[18]
Since March 2025, she is playing Kajal Thakkar inColors TV'sZyada Mat Udd opposite Shehzad Shaikh.[19]
Shah ranked 47th inEastern Eye's Top 50 Asian celebrities of 2020. In the same year,Eastern Eye listed her inDynamic dozen for the decade in its 4th position.[20][21] In 2021, she was ranked inEastern Eye's Top 30 under 30 Global Asian Stars list.[22] In 2023, she ranked 3rd inTimes Now "Popular Television Actresses" list.[23]

Talking about playing the character, Helly told IANS: "Swara is very similar to what I am in real life. The only difference is I am Gujarati and she is Bengali. Swara as Bengali is a non-vegetarian eating person, but in real life I am a vegetarian."
