TheHefei–Wuhan high-speed railway (also referred to in Chinese as theHewu high-speed railway) is ahigh-speed railway line betweenHefei South andHankou currently under construction in China. The line is 342 kilometres (213 miles) long and has a design speed of 350 kilometres per hour (220 mph). It will form part of theShanghai–Chongqing–Chengdu high-speed railway. On 2 January 2024, the railway started construction and it is expected to be completed in 2028.[1] It will parallel thehigher-speedHefei–Wuhan railway.[2]
