Hawsh al-Sayyid Ali (Arabic:حوش السيد علي, also known asHosh al-Sayyed Ali) is a village in centralSyria, administratively part of theHoms Governorate, located southwest ofHoms and immediately east of the border withLebanon. Nearby localities includeal-Masriyah to the northwest,al-Qusayr to the northeast,Rablah to the east,al-Nizariyah to the south. According to theCentral Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Hawsh al-Sayyid Ali had a population of 541 in the 2004 census.[1] Its inhabitants are predominantlyShia Muslims.[2] By 12 April 2025, the village was uninhabited.[3]
