Club career

Châteauroux

Kamara is a youth exponent ofChâteauroux. He made hisLigue 2 debut for the club on 4 April 2014 in a match againstClermont.[3] On 2 May 2014, he scored his first league goal in a match againstLaval.[4]

Reims

In August 2015, Kamara signed withReims before joiningParis FC on loan. He helped Reims win the2017–18 Ligue 2, achieving promotion toLigue 1 for the2018–19 season.[5]

Nice

On 26 June 2020, Kamara signed withNice for an undisclosed fee reported to be around €4 million euros.[6]

Watford

On 4 January 2022, Kamara signed for English clubWatford on a contract until June 2025.[7] He scored his first Watford goal in the 5-1 defeat to the league leadersManchester City.[8] On 7 May 2022, in the game against their managerRoy Hodgson's return to Selhurst Park, Kamara was sent off by two yellow cards after in the first half he gave away a penalty due to a handball. His team would go on to lose 1-0 againstCrystal Palace and be relegated from thePremier League for the fourth time.[9]

Udinese

On 23 August 2022, Kamara signed forSerie A clubUdinese for an undisclosed fee, returning on loan to Watford for the2022–23 season.[10]

International career

Kamara holdsFrench,Malian,Gambian andIvorian nationalities.[11][12] He rejected a callup to theGambia national team in March 2017.[13] He debuted for theIvory Coast national team in a friendly 2–1 win overBurkina Faso on 5 June 2021.[14]
